Batch LDN.

A Case Study.

Creating a Colour Palette for Batch LDN's First Flagship Store.

A flagship store with feeling.

For Batch LDN's first flagship store, we developed an interior colour strategy that supports its made-to-measure retail experience.

Collaborating with Studio Jim, we used colour to create a warm, confident environment that works equally well as a showroom, studio and social space.

A unique, minimalist warmth.

Batch LDN wanted a modern, minimal store that still felt warm. With Studio Jim, YesColours created a precise yet welcoming studio-lounge space for fittings and events.

The design used warm woods, brushed metals, and concrete, with colour added sparingly to shape the atmosphere. Sustainability and YesColours’ human approach to colour aligned with Batch LDN’s values of thoughtfulness, longevity, and mood.

“We wanted just enough character to make the store memorable, without overwhelming the garments themselves”

Jim Butterell, Designer @ StudioJim

The Colour Philosophy.

The palette drew on subtle greens, soft earthy neutrals, and gentle off-whites that worked in harmony with the raw materials.

These tones brought contrast without clash, adding warmth to the otherwise minimal scheme.

The effect is one of calm and clarity: the store feels composed but never sterile, energised but never overwhelming. Industrial elements are softened, and the space encourages customers to slow down, linger, and engage.

A highlight of the scheme is the green-and-white striped seating, which brings an element of playfulness.

“People slow down, browse more thoughtfully, and connect more deeply with the garments, the exact behaviour we hoped for.”

The Result.

The design transformed the store, creating a calm, breathable atmosphere with easy navigation while supporting Batch LDN’s made-to-measure service.

Colour shaped the mood while reflecting our shared values of sustainability, craftsmanship, and emotional connection to design, a creative partnership we're proud of from top-to-toe.
